Resilience in Children:
Last year my son broke his arm. It was a very painful situation both for him and myself. What helped his healing process was simply allowing him to experience all the emotions associated with this incident, in a supportive environment. One year later, he looks back on this incident and knows that not only is he a fabulous healer, has much stronger bones and can withstand pain. More importantly, he knows now that pain as painful as it may be will pass.
